Fun Products | Shelley Edwards Photography

Listen up y’all – I’m launching some really fun new products. I’m really excited about it too. As you may or may not know, I launched a Digital Line last fall. Yes, that’s right – I do offer digital files. Let’s face it – we’re in the digital age. All my digital collections come with a set of 4×5 or 5×7 professionally printed portraits. The reason why I do this is simple – I want all clients to know what professionally printed images are supposed to look like. However, that’s not to say that the local print shops at national chains don’t do a good job. I’m just saying that I do better.  Going forward, all my digital collections will also include these FABULOUS custom designed photo boxes.

Something else new – and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They’re little mini-accordion albums. I offer 2 sizes – 2×3 and 3×3. YUM YUM YUM.  These mini-albums are PERFECT for gifts and for mom’s purse.  They come with a small frosted cover.  Dreamy – yes – they’re wonderful – and affordable.  I had two clients in the past few weeks order the mini-albums as thank you gifts for their graduating seniors.  One ordered 15 and another ordered 9.

Hopefully more to follow this week.  It’s difficult to take product sample shots while also entertaining a very active 11 year old girl.  Summer plans – lovin’ summer  – having me a blast!!!!

Who let the dogs out?

Ok – our fence was in BAD need of repair.   We had been propping the trampoline against the fence so it wouldn’t fall over.  I showed Michael, the hubby, a picture that my friend Cheryl posted on her facebook – it slammed up against her house just after that huge storm we had a few weeks ago.  Anyway, after a trip to Lowes, a fight with the clerk over the price of the 4x4x8 post (I won), he started the work.  He’s got the power tools, the cement (ok, not really, he had to go back for more), and as a good wife – I bought him a cold beer from time to time.  Ok – so I hear y’all laughing – I didn’t really do that.  I sat on the porch and watched while I drank the beer.  :)

The dogs LOVE our backyard.  They’re little bitty things, but they love to be outside.  Since the fence was down – we had to put them in their little protective area (aka – jail).  They HATE it.

Meet my furry babies – Ripley (the smart one) and Kelley (the one with personality).  Kelley is the white one.

Here’s the hubby – hard at work

Earth Friendly? Why Yes I Am!!!!

I’ve been trying to find ways to be more environmentally friendly lately.   If you followed my old blog, you know that I just recently launched The Edwards Collection – which is totally GREEN!!  I’ve been reading magazine articles, browsing the internet, and even watched a few DIY/HGTV shows abount it – so now – I’m going to start creating new habits!  There are so many things I can do at home that I just haven’t thought of.  Sure, it’s going to take a committment to do – but for starters – I’m going to “try” and do the following……

1.    Recycle – no more throwing away coke cans or plastic water bottles!!

2.    Sign up for online banking – I’ve been doing this for years, but didn’t know I could get statements on-line!  How freaking cool is that?!?!?!

3.    Shop online – save gas!

4.    Find new uses for old “stuff” before buying more

5.    Use rechargeable batteries.

6.    Fill up a reusable water bottle.

7.    Fix broken things rather than throwing them out and buying new

8.    Wash clothes in cold water

9.    Use canvas shopping bags rather than paper or plastic – plastic won’t break down and paper uses more resources – this will be “tuff” to keep up with

10.  Use less paper – my dad may not like this since he’s a paper salesman

11.  Car Pool – whoo-hoo – another save gas item!

Let me know you’re doing too!
